Meet Isaac Vorsah a nine (9) years old class one pupil of Dorfor Agorveme D/A Primary School.
He walks for about 20 minutes to school everyday. Isaac wants to become a teacher in future.
He however lost his Dad at a very tender age but he did not let that weigh him down, as he fought so hard to become the golden boy of the class.
Isaac came first in the last term examination after placing first in all the exams he sat for except one which he came second and that made him the overall best student among twenty-two(22) pupils.
Isaac lacks some basic educational materials ranging from books to footwear and this can impede his dream of becoming a teacher.
The good news however is that, after some discussions with a friend who is also a member of SMILE AFRIK, she expressed interest in helping provide young Isaac with his educational materials.
I was overwhelmed by the kind gesture of this lady and quickly announced to the class that Isaac Vorsah will be provided with exercise books, shoes and other materials for placing first in the exams.
This morning, I on behalf of the SMILE AFRIK team presented the first batch of items which includes 16 exercise books, 2 pencils, a sharpener and 2 erasers.
Isaac Vorsah says a big thank you to Sister Jemima and all members of SMILE AFRIK for bringing smiles to his face and he has promised to learn hard and fulfil his dreams of becoming a teacher.
Isaac Vorsah was filled with smiles this morning as he received the items and he is poised to achieve more in the coming years.
We at SMILE AFRIK are also happy to have assisted young Isaac to smile again.
