Teacher trainees from the Colleges of Education in Ghana are expected to begin preparations for joining their senior colleagues in the profession to commence the 2016/17 academic year in about two weeks time.
About 16,432 trainees who graduated from the College of Education will receive their postings from the Ghana Education Service before the beginning of the new academic year.
This revelation was made by Hon, Okudzeto Ablakwa ,the deputy minister of Education on September 2,2016 using his twitter handle.
According to the deputy minister, government’s decision to recruit trainees directly from College after graduation is still on course and will be adhered to at all times.
EducationGhana.net’s checks can confirm that the Institute of Education at the University of Cape Coast is done with the marking of the trainees’ examination and the results ready .The Ghana Education Service is believed to have had access to the results which is being used to determine the number of students who really took part in the examination and had also filled the posting forms to be posted either manually or online.
With this information ,there is an absolutely possibility of trainees being posted as early as possible and possibly before the resumption of the new academic year.
Earlier Trainees had earlier been confused concerning the release of their postings which is believed to had kept longer than it used to be. The Ghana Education service explained that trainees will be posted based on their performance and may not post trainees who had failed in any of their papers.
