I’ve never been in favour of my wife managing VVIP – Reggie Rockstone

Hiplife ‘Grand papa’ has revealed that he has never been in favour of his wife managing music group, VVIP.

According to him, his wife Zilla Limann had the job by chance and believes that managing three men is really stressful and he did not want his wife to endure that.

Reggie Rockstone joined VIP after Emmanuel Ababio (Promzy)’s exit from the the music group, which also had members Joseph Nana Ofori (Prodigal), and Abdul Hamid Ibrahim (Lazzy now Zeal).

The group parted way after almost two decades of recording and performing together.

For the past three years, Limann has been in the thick of affairs when it comes to managing the group.

This has not been easy, she revealed in an interview on personality Profile on Joy FM Thursday with Lexis Bill.

Zilla said she “cannot imagine anyone else,” managing the group because that person will not be able to survive the job.

To her, the perfect trick to managing the group is because she likes to micromanage things, “I like to know everything, I like to be involved,” in the affairs of the group.

Interestingly, Limann revealed that she has successfully managed to separate Rockstone, the husband from Rockstone, the artiste. This, she believes, has helped in managing the group.

Rockstone said while he is not favour of his wife taking on group management job, he concedes “she does a great job” of it.

VVIP has been one of the most prolific groups in Ghana. They have released hit songs including, ‘Selfie’, ‘Skolom’, ‘OMG’ and ‘Dogo Yaro’.

The group has won a number of awards including Best Choreography Award at the 2015 4Syte Music Video Awards, to their credit.
