A middle-aged woman has been found dead in what is suspected to be murder at Buokrom Estate in Kumasi.
The decomposing body of the deceased was found in her room upon suspicion of tenants.
The landlord, Richard Boakye led other tenants in the house to forcibly open the door following a stench emanating from the room.
Mr. Boakye suspects the boyfriend of the deceased, identified only as Baffuor who was unavailable at the time the body was discovered may have murdered his lover in cold blood.
Speaking to Nhyira FM Wednesday, the landlord said he last knocked at his tenant’s door on Monday for utility bills but no one responded.
But he was met with a wild stench at the entrance of the room shared by the suspect and his girl-friend.
A peep through one of the windows of Baffuor, who is now at large, led to the discovery of the almost decomposed body of the deceased known only as Suzy wrapped in clothes under a mattress.
Though the two love-birds have been living in the house for about six months, the landlord has little details about them.
Mr. Boakye tells Nhyira FM the only information he has about the deceased who witnessed the tenancy agreement of Baffuor is that she lives at Dunkwaw in the Central region.
The Mampongteng police who visited the scene found the body lying in a pool of blood with some personal belongings of the deceased scattered in the room.
